Margeworks LLC makes control panels and a phone app for motorcoaches. This page says what we collect, why, and who else handles it. The short version: we collect what we need to sell you a panel, support it and let you reach your coach from your phone. We don't sell it, and we don't use it for advertising.

The website

margeworks.com sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. Like any web server, ours keeps short-lived request logs (which include IP addresses) to run the site and keep it secure.

The pilot application on /pilot is a Tally form. What you enter there, including photos, goes to Tally and to us.

The newsletter

If you sign up, we keep your email address with our newsletter provider, Buttondown, and send you product news. Every issue has an unsubscribe link.

Orders

When you buy from shop.margeworks.com, we keep your name, email, phone number, shipping address, what you ordered and the serial numbers of the units we ship you. Payments go through Stripe; we never see or store your card number.

Support

Email to us, and the replies, are kept in our help desk so whoever picks up your question can see the history. It runs on our own servers at Amazon Web Services; our email is hosted by Google Workspace.

The app

On your coach's network, the app needs no account and sends nothing to us. It talks straight to the panels in your coach.

Remote access (controlling your coach from away) needs a Margeworks account. For that we keep:

• your email address, which is how you sign in (we email you a code);
• which coaches your account is linked to;
• your coach's current state (which lights are on, for example), so the app can show it the moment you open it. Each change replaces the last; we don't keep a history of it or of the commands you send.

Remote access runs on Amazon Web Services. You can delete your account at any time: see deleting your account.

The panels

Panels report their own health to us: firmware version, uptime, memory, Wi-Fi signal strength, errors and restarts, tagged with the panel's serial number. That's how we find and fix problems before you have to call. Health reports never include your location, your tank levels, what's switched on, your Wi-Fi password or anything else about your coach or the people in it. We keep health reports indefinitely.

Who else handles your information

Only the companies named above, for the reasons given: Amazon Web Services (hosting, the app's accounts and remote access), Stripe (payments), Buttondown (newsletter), Tally (pilot applications) and Google Workspace (email). We share information when the law requires it, and never sell it.

How long we keep it

Order records and support email stay for as long as we need them for support and taxes, including after you delete an app account. An app account and its coach links last until you delete them. Newsletter addresses last until you unsubscribe.

Your choices

Ask us for a copy of what we have about you, to correct it, or to delete it, at support@margeworks.com. We answer within 30 days. Some records, like past orders, we have to keep for tax purposes; we'll tell you if that applies.

Children

Margeworks is for coach owners. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and, if you have an app account, tell you by email before it takes effect.
